CEMEX Organizes its 3rd Blood Donation Drive

The blood donation program called "Someone's Life Depends on You" was held at our office in Al Quoz, Dubai last July 18th, 2017.

In line with our Corporate Social Responsibility and our commitment to contribute to the local community, CEMEX in the UAE held its 3rd blood donation drive in collaboration with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).

The campaign was held at our office in Al Quoz, Dubai where 45 employees registered to donate and help save a life. At the end of the day, the DHA collected 34 bloods that will be given to patients with Thalassemia and other related conditions.

Blood is constantly needed and so is the need for donation. It's a gift that doesn't cost a cent that's why we encourage our employees to become voluntary blood donors and at the same time, to create awareness about the importance of doing so regularly due to its short shelf life.

CEMEX had started the initiative in 2016 with the participation of a employees each year.
